Your chairs are the main accents to your table. Sometimes switching them out can give the set a totally different feel, almost as if you have a whole new set! You can do this by getting chairs that present a new color, style, size, and/or shape. If you’re looking to add a little more sophistication to your dining room, a popular way to do this is by adding upholstered chairs to the ends of the table. It keeps things interesting, allows you to mix styles, and adds a little more dimension to the space.

If you have chairs with wooden seats, the easiest and cheapest way you can accentuate your dining table through your chairs is by adding seat cushions! There are so many fun colors and patterns available to brighten up any dining set, and can add a light, farmhouse feel to your dining room.

Look to the ground and sky

When we say ground and sky, we mean your area rugs and light fixtures. We’ll start with light fixtures, which are of major importance in the dining room. This is because they are generally centered in the middle of the room, right above the dining table, and they create the ambiance for the entire room.

Importantly, hanging light fixtures are a popular choice because they hover over an area where they can hang lower and not get in anyone’s way as they’re walking. This allows you to utilize fixtures that are closer to the table, which typically makes a bigger statement.

As for area rugs, they can work wonders in two ways. First, they often create depth and a nice contrast of color and texture against your flooring. Second, it creates a soft, cushy feel for your guests as they eat! No one likes cold feet as they’re trying to enjoy their lasagna.

Time to get our your ice trays and melt the dents out of your carpet! Sounds strange, doesn’t it? But it actually does work! All you need to do is place an ice cube (or multiple, depending on the shape and size of the dent) on the indented area of your carpet and let it melt for a few hours – up to 12 hours for those deep, stubborn dents.

How to Get Pesky Furniture Dents Out of Your Carpet

Much as a blow dryer brings volume of your hair, it can do the same for your carpet! All you need is a blow dryer and a spray bottle filled with water.

Step one, place a damp dish cloth or towel directly over the area. Step two, set an iron on medium heat and gently run over the towel for 30 seconds to a minute. Do NOT touch the carpet directly, as the iron could burn it. Step 3, remove the towel and either vacuum or fluff up the carpet fibers by hand. That’s it!

Your seating is likely what takes up the most space in your living room. Therefore, being able to easily rearrange your seating to better utilize space, improve the functionality of the space, or just to mix things up and refresh your home’s look is a major benefit. It’s healthy to change up your environment every once in awhile, and rearranging your furniture is likely the easiest and cheapest way to do this!

4 Benefits of Owning a Sectional

Many sectionals offer the option to switch which side the chaise is on, and others allow you to reconfigure them entirely. Some of the new sectionals appearing on the market are called “modular” sectionals meaning that they are constructed of more individual pieces, allowing you to arrange your sectional in unlimited configurations. The term modular means “constructed with standardized units or dimensions for flexibility and variety in use,” which is exactly what this type of sectional provides.

Here is what you can expect when you work with a Wenzinista (Wenz designer) on your next project:

  • Phase 1: Getting to know you and understand your style
  • Phase 2: Applying our expertise
  • Phase 3: Ordering and set up
  • Phase 4: Finishing

For this stage, your designer will put in orders for the products you have decided on, and will update you when they have arrived and are available for delivery! If your project did not require any ordering, you can skip to the last part of the process, which is delivery and set up.
